Super Bloom by elatedpixie

Super Bloom

At the Carrizo Plain National Monument - they say it's once in a lifetime event- this was drought stricken dessert just a few months ago - what a little rain can do! The mountains, everywhere... amazing. They can be seen from space! Parts are like giant eggs have been broken and dropped on the ground. Various yellows, blues, purples and whites... wow!
What a breathtaking sight this must have been! Thanks for sharing! Fav!

@pamknowler It's truly amazing! It's made state, national and last night, my hubs read - international news! When you go out there, it's generally desolate and only 3 or 4 other cars will be out there - now, it's a cavalcade of vehicles! I will try and share more. Pets to Finlay please!

Fav for actually seeing this incredible blooming! I guess in a desert it won't last long!

t@maggiemae you're right. We hope to get there once more but the forecasters think it may last one more week - first heat and they will wither.
