One of the girls at the office started raising chickens as a hobby that is turning into a nice little business! The eggs are fresh, laid as of the day before and oh the colors! She’s so cute, she sorts all the dozens in progressive shades... blues to whites to light and then dark browns. She’s recently obtained a layer that’s giving olive green eggs too. So sun and I look forward to buying eggs from her all the time cuz the shells are so beautiful!
Year 7 on this adventure! I’m especially appreciative of the community found here! I am inspired by everyone; learning from so many. Your shares make...
How wonderful to be able to get these lovely fresh eggs from your friend! I love the different colours! I recently found that I could buy similar beautiful coloured eggs from a local farm. Not only do they look lovely they taste so good! Great image!
@pamknowler thank you Pam and I agree, they are yummy! Some of her eggs are so crazy beautiful that I take the shells and put them in the garden - good for the plants and I still get to enjoy their beauty for awhile longer.
@ervkam thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed! Yes - if you hardboil them, the shell is difficult, now I know why! I generally make them in the morning in a skillet though.
@louannwarren thank you Lou Ann and I agree! She's studying to be an engineer and I think it started out with a couple of chickens as a hobby (she does live on a few acres with her horses) and now she has a lot of chickens! She just got two more this week - her heart is with her animals and I suspect she will leave this job by the end of the year to raise eggs full-time. It's great to hear her stories and all the different colored eggs as she adds the different chickens... so fun!
@dfarrington@jernst1779@kwind@rickster549 thank you! Glad you like it - I'm always hesitant to push the processing but it's been kind of fun to do lately - thanks for the feedback and encouragement!
@jenp@jacqbb@aikimomm thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed! Editing and all. You're right about the fresh eggs too! So much nicer and I know they are happy chickens as they run around on the farm all day and get tucked in at night :)
