Can It Be a Lifesaver?

I got these little pieces of a Lifesaver Cactus plant from eBay.... the little plants are rooting and doing well but no flowers and I know they bloom profusely... that was a good year ago... Every time the thing would branch I’d get hopeful for a bloom but was happy it was branching... I don’t want to pay too much attention to it... it’s a cactus after all.

I've never heard of a Lifesaver Cactus, that's not a bloom here? Whatever, I do loves me some cacti and this is quite beautiful. I dig all the stark contrasts in color as well. Nice!

Cacti do their own thing and bloom when you least expect it. Looks like it will be pretty when it takes off -- and this composition works well for now.

Gives me an idea for a pot plant that doesn't require too much attention.. but it might be too cold for it here!

@aikiuser @bkbinthecity @ludwigsdiana @jernst1779 @taffy @maggiemae thanks. It is definitely a bud. I planted a single stem and every time an arm would bud I was hopeful. This is definitely a bud. I’ll share when it opens. Our summer being so short on sunshine makes it tough. The friend who first shared photos of hers (outrageously prolific cactus) lives on the coast in Florida so quite a bit warmer there. Maggie Mae, you should totally give it a go, you never know.
