It's a tradition at SACS that every child take part in the annual inter-house cross country race. My non-running, rugby front-row player sons consider this cruel and unusual punishment. I kept myself busy taking over 500 pictures; most of them individual shots for the boys. This picture of the Under 10s is my favourite - I love the bright cones in the road, the trees marking the season and the boys pouring down the avenue towards me.

Looks like they are out for the marathon. I know what you are talking about with your sons. My daughter played tennis in high school and hated running. Now we both try to get fit for some jogging (my goal is 3-4 miles) and it is sooooo hard.
Nce shot. What a task though if running isn't your thing. Was mine - particularly distance running - for school and my county. Trouble was I pretty good at all sports and was in all the teams, but my favourites were netball and athletics. Hated hockey and lacrosse, but was blackmailed into doing them under threat of being withdrawn from the others. Hrumph at the my sports teachers and another at me for falling for that line!
