I couldn't see if Henriette was home ... by eleanor

I couldn't see if Henriette was home ...

We got a call mid-morning from Mark who was out catching crayfish (West Coast Rock Lobster). The traps were over-full, and he offered to come and collect us on the beach if we could bring our licenses. There's a limit to the size and number of 'kreef', and a short season for catching, so you learn to sieze the moment. What a day to play hookie from work! We went out on Emma J, an 18ft ski boat and got deliciously soaked by the spray.

This view is looking back from Kommetjie towards Hout Bay where Henriette lives ( http://365project.org/hinhoutbay). I waved and waved, but I couldn't see if she was home!

The opportunity to do something like this is part of what makes Cape Town a spectacular place to live in.
If you're likely to be doing this when we're over and we can fit in, would love it. Hx

Love the motion and strength in the foreground and then quiet and peace in the mountains.
