Day 2 of the SA vs India cricket test at Newlands, Cape Town. We saw Jaques Kallis get to 161 runs, before being caught by the Indian keeper, Dhoni.
Later in the afternoon we watched Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir craft a 114 run partnership before stumps. In one afternoon we watched two of the best batsmen the game of cricket has ever seen. Magnificent stuff!
After a rainy start on day one, it was hot and clear today - beautiful cricket-watching weather. Newlands was packed again, and according to Michael who is a great lover of the game - this was proper test cricket. No flashy performances; just a solid grind.
This is shaping up to be a real hum-dinger of a test.

Great action shot! I'm glad today's weather was better. I've only watched cricket once and I didn't really understand the game, but it seems like it would be fun to watch if I knew what was going on!
Well I do understand cricket! And yes, the game is a real contest as befits teams ranked 1 and 2 in the world. In the thumbnail it looked like the keeper was under that umbrella!
