@tristansmum I was hanging out of the top window and trying to get more birds in the frame but the light was dropping fast so this is the best I could manage. How is the walking frame? It must really take some getting used to. You are so patient, I would be getting very frustrated and impatient by now if I were you! I hope it is working well for you.
I got my cast off on Friday, Emma, and have a walking cast or air boot, but was told by the surgeon to walk around at home without it. So I've been doing that, and doing an exercise he recommended, but by mid-afternoon yesterday the foot was so painful that I had to revert to the walker. Today I'm trying to pace myself a bit more. It is painful to learn to walk again when the tendons are stiff and bearing scar tissue, and the muscles are wasted from not being used, and I can cope with a certain amount of pain, but yesterday was too much. I hate the sight of the walker, but at the same time it has allowed me to get around when I couldn't have otherwise. I start physio on Thursday; perhaps that will make a change for the better. I know I'll get there eventually.
