30th March 2014

Quite a contrast to the urbanisation of yesterday.

Today I went to the Woodland Gardens of Bushy Park to check out locations for my family photo shoot tomorrow. Lucky I did as despite using this location for all my previous photo-shoots, the park staff have been busy landscaping and trimming back vegetation. I'll be honest, I preferred it as it was. Overgrown and a bit like a secret garden.

A lot of my favourite places had been opened out but this made me work a little harder. The daffodil meadow is beautiful at the moment and has literally thousands of blooms and many different species of flower. It was quite busy as today is Mother's Day so I'm hoping for a quieter day tomorrow.

This is gorgeous Emma, but I'm with you, I like things a bit more overgrown and wild. But these daffs are spectacular.

@tristansmum It really is a lovely garden within Bushy Park. It is fenced in to prevent the deer from nibbling the plants! I think the gardeners are trying to clear areas to open them out but I did prefer to before when it was like a secret garden wandering between massive Gunera plants (one of my favourite books was The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett when I was little (I had a purple tamoshanta like the girl Mary Lennox)
