This beautiful Oak tree in Bushy Park has survived the gales and storms of winter and is just beginning to come into leaf. It is reflected in the Longford River which runs through Bushy Park.

The river has a lot of history as it was originally built for Kings Charles the first in 1638 as a water supply for Hampton Court and all the water features in both Bushy and Home Parks.
Gorgeous

I love your pov and crop Emma, and the green reeds at the bottom. A gorgeous tree and reflection.

@juliac @tristansmum thank you both. The Oak trees really are lovely the park. There is also an avenue of Horse Chestnuts which are celebrated the second sunday of May on 'Chestnut Sunday'. There is a parade and lots going on - hopefully I'll get some pics to post!
