29th June 2014

After the rain of yesterday the sun was out this morning for the Teddington Pram Race. This the 'Tedder's Gals' one of eight teams who entered this years Teddington Pram Race. It set off from the Masons Arms pub in Walpole Road. At the finish in Udney Hall Gardens the winning team with the fastest time was the ‘Skiff Team’, the winner based on the amount of money raised for charity was the ‘Masonettes’ team and the team last over the finishing line and with the slowest time overall was the ‘Teddington Jesters’… possibly too long on the pub stops?!

The Teddington Pram Race has a long tradition in Teddington but stopped for a number of years until it was recently revived by the Teddington Society and various other local people and businesses. As well as a day of fun for participants and locals, the event is used to raise money for local charities including the St John’s Ambulance, the Teddington Memorial Hospital and the Langdon Down Centre Trust.

Loving the outfits and sounds like a very worthy cause and great fun at the same time -a winning combination.
