I have been watching the first two stages of the Tour de France through Yorkshire (on the television) and the turn out was fantastic (about 2.5 million people) and Yorkshire was showcased magnificently. I have decided to watch it here in London tomorrow as my sister Hester watched in West Tanfield and had a fantastic time.
I felt quite patriotic watching all the Union Jacks and even though Great Britain is out of the Wimbledon tennis and well out of the World Cup it is good to feel like this once in a while!
