This is William. He is a baby wood mouse and it appears that he is one of a family living in our hedge. He has a pretty good life, he shares the dropped seeds from the bird feeders and also enjoys the over ripe blackberries that have fallen off. I cannot believe how small he is and also how brave. I managed to get with about 6 feet of him and even when he did notice me he just pottered off into the hedge!
Cute little guy! Great shot! Fav!

So sweet - a wonderful capture. I disturbed a mouse's nest the othere day under a piece of carpet on the allotment. They all scarpered when I lifted the carpet. When I went back later with my camera to see if they'd returned the nest was abandoned.

@irishmamacita10 @shannejw @busylady Thank you - we have been away for the weekend and I have yet to see him again but all the food we put down has gone!

William is almost unbearably cute, and this portrait is an instant fav. I am so glad he is living on the property of people who cherish him!
