23rd September 2014

Today we drove back down to Lisbon and dropped off our ‘state of the art’ Mitsubishi Colt (we had trouble with it from day one!) at the airport.

We are staying in a lovely apartment right in the heart of the Alfama district, one of the oldest areas in the city. The apartment is a 17th century converted studio and coach house and there is even an original horse trough downstairs in the kitchen. We arrived at lunchtime and so after ‘testing’ the local food we went for a stroll up the steep hills of the city to one of the many ‘miradores’ for this view.
It's so colourful, like a palette of pastels

Gorgeous view, and the light and colours seem to breathe sunshine. Have to fav this one too.
