This is Gulliver. He is my travel bear and has his own FaceBook page and a number of followers. He always travels with us abroad and today he came with me as I drove down to Cornwall to spend a few days with Mum and my sister and niece and other halves before Christmas! The journey is exactly 300 miles door to door and unfortunately only 89 miles into the journey on the M4 we came to the tail end of a traffic jam.
The cars were stationary for over 10 minutes - long enough to have to turn off the engine and watch people in other cars pour tea and write Christmas cards! I managed to wedge Gulliver on the dashboard to demonstrate his disgust at the delay! It took us a total of 7 hours in the end including a couple breaks. Gulliver is a sweetie--took a look at his FaceBook page and enjoyed seeing him in his different outfits. So sorry you had a difficult journey, hope there were good times at the end of it.
