What a difference 24 hours makes - today was stunningly sunny and so I headed back to Bushy Park to try out the DO lens again this morning. The Fallow deer fawns are now of the ferns and I am pretty impressed with the lens. Yes - it has ‘interesting bokeh’ and is a little ‘soft’ but... it is pretty impressive in good light and is almost a kilo lighter than my 70-200mm. This was my favorite photo from today - this young jackdaw was sunbathing with his wings spread wide. He was so intent on catching the rays that he did not see me until I was just a few meters away and this was the moment he spotted me. He then shot forwards, crashing into the ferns. It was very funny (he was absolutely fine - just looked rather bemused).
Love jackdaws, he's a beauty, nice one.

@boxplayer I do like them as well. They are so cheeky, especially at somewhere like Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park when they wait just a few feet away to snatch unattended cakes and sandwiches from outside of the cafe. I've even seen them drinking from teacups!
