8th February 2016

I continued my birthday today as we braved Storm Imogen and headed up town to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at the Natural History Museum. I love the museum and the building itself is spectacular. The exhibition was very good this year but I got a shock when I saw one particular image with the winning portfolio. It was almost exactly the same as I photo I took a few years ago in Yellowstone National Park. It was exactly the same angle and same colouring. Here’s a link to FaceBook so you can see for yourself. The other images in the portfolio were also excellent. This rather distracted me for the rest of the exhibition!

Once back in the main hall the light was going a little and the arches on the first floor were just lighting up. I anted to catch a little of the dinosaur skeleton as well as it will be moving son to be replaced with a blue well skeleton!
Nice view of one of my fave buildings

Love the atmosphere. Pity you didn't enter.

Gorgeous lighting and framing, fav! You are right, those two pictures are startlingly similar. Great photographers see alike (sometimes), I suppose.
