Oh dear. It was the last ever Howorth Cricket today at Imber Court in Molesey today. This is the 34th cricket tournament which has been running since the early 1980’s in memory and commemoration of Ken Howorth, a Metropolitan Police bomb disposal officer who was blown up whilst diffusing an IRA bomb in central London in 1981.
Unfortunately despite attending around 15 of these matches, I still have absolutely no idea of the rules. The day did seem to drag somewhat so I tried to relieve my boredom with some fast speed sports photography!
