2nd April 2017

I have continued making up the cards but as the weather is so lovely I really wanted to get out and enjoy the sunshine. Big mistake!

We decided to head over to Osterley Park as I have never been there and the grounds are meant to be very impressive for walking. It should take about 25 minutes to get there as it is close to where two of my friends from photo club live. However, within sight of the entrance gates there was gridlock on the road and we sat for literally 15 minutes not moving. Eventually after a lot of reversing and squeezing by we managed to get through only to discover that today is the opening day or a dinosaur exhibition that we new nothing about which explained the traffic. We had to enter the Park but decided to turn straight around and come out again.

We tried to make the best of a bad day (well one of us did!) and headed to Adrian Hall garden centre looking for cobbles for the herb bed. No joy there so we finished up driving back via Twickenham cemetery to check on the condition of Colin's Mum and Dad's grave which we restored last year. This shot is of a stunning mature cherry tree which is one of the most impressive I have seen spreading over a number of graves.
So gorgeous.
