I am getting back into the swing of things and so have been pottering around Teddington which included a trip to the library to take back books on Washington and pick up a couple of books on Dubai! We are stopping for one day only (we arrive at 6.30am and depart the following day around 2.00pm!) so I think we will need to be very focussed on what we actually have time to see.
As I walked back Watts Lane I realised how very different everything is to where we have just been - just not so full on or exciting. I do feel rather safer and that I am not about to be knifed or shot - however the Lane looked really pretty with all the roses coming out, just a shame the cars ruin the shot!
We went to dinner with friends Gerry and Janice this evening who live in Wimbledon and as there was so much sporting events on we arrived about 15 minutes early as the roads were very clear and then had to detour around Wimbledon village to kill time - Janice excelled herself and dinner was superb including salmon ‘en croute’ and a lovely seafood sauce.
