30th April 2022

2 years and 35 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020

My last chance to catch up with cleaning around then house before Colin’s return later this evening. I gave our top bedroom a serious duct and vacuum, cleaned both the bathrooms and vacuumed the entire house. It wouldn’t have been so bad if I did this more often but I always seem to have more important things to do! In the afternoon I watered the plants (with watering can again due to ‘hose issues’) and sweet the path which brought on a bad bout of hay fever with all the tree pollen.

I even found time to knock up a Victoria sponge cake. I also have got recipe for Anzac biscuits from my friend which I will try soon but I needed some fresh desiccated coconut.

I tracked Colin once he departed the ferry in Portsmouth and he arrived home at about 11.15pm. There was a lot of bags but best of al a lot of Belgium beer, Brittany cider and some lovely patisseries from Colin and Chris’s local ‘boulangerie’ in Saint Aubin sur Mer.
