2 years and 117 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020.
We were up reasonably earlier today as we had a fair drive ahead of us to a little place just South of Salisbury called Heals Gardens. I was meeting three of my friends from College, last seen back in 2019 at the same place. I was worried that we would be very late as there was quite a hold up on the M3. It turned out to be caused by two horses that had clearly escaped from a bordering field but very luckily the police and traffic officers had managed to capture them and they both seemed to be well. Once past the horses the run down was very good within further hold ups.
Last time we met it had been warm and sunny and based on the weather of the last couple of weeks I did not bother to bring any form of jacket and it was actually a little bit chilly at times. It was very good to see everyone again although there is a tendency to keep remembering what we used to do at college which we did last time! The gardens are beautiful and this year there was the addition of some public art. We were planing to finish up with a cup of tea and cake with Colin but sadly there was a private function so we had to get a take out cup of tea.
Having said our goodbyes we headed back via Silvermere golf club so Colin could spend his clothes vouchers and then after a drink we headed back home and treated ourselves to a Chinese take away from our favourite local ‘China Garden’ in the High Street.
