I thought I’d wander down to Teddington lock and weir to see how everything looked after our time away. It was about an hour after high tide so the water level was only just below the weir.
A very cold day again but with low wind so the water above the weir was very still allowing for some great reflections. The sky is what I call a ‘tupperware sky’ - totally flat and grey (like being in a tupperware box!). It gives the image almost a monotone feel apart from some splashes of red from the boats moored above the weir.
I love your expression, tupperware sky! We'll have to remember that one.
So you're in QC in Sept! Hopefully towards the end of the month so you may catch some color. The mountains often start to turn around that time.
@helixconcepts I certainly hope so - we've visited Western Canada a few years ago and loved it and now we are looking forward to a totally different sort of visit - Canada is massive, its great to have such a variety of places... and bears (we were lucky to see both black bears and grizzles on our last visit which included Port Hardy and Tweedsmuir national park) :-)
@pam1 Still waiting for Spring... our visit to Wellington last March was very wet and windy, it was such a shame but your photographs are showing us what we missed
