This is just one violet from a large number that manage to come up every year through the concrete under our back doorstep.
The main reason for photographing this beautiful Spring flower today is to test out my new Macro lens! I've been really impressed by many '365ers' who have taken some superb macro shots - I've got a long way to go... the vignetting also indicates that I need some decent lights as well!
