Teddington lock keepers 'station' at Teddington Lock.
I was out this afternoon in the sunshine looking for classic places in Teddington to photograph for a project I'm working on. This is the place where the lock keepers work during the day - it is a lovely Victorian redbrick building and the gardens under the walnut tree are always very well tended. Teddington Lock has both the largest and smallest locks on the River Thames and marks the top of the tidal part of the river. It also has the largest weir on the river along with a 'salmon leap' as the water is now surprisingly clean!
I like buildings with history attached to them, and you've captured this one well, with great pov and that sky with clouds seeming to lead to the building. I especially like the chimneys!
