Marché Jean Talon.

Our first full day in Montreal and we have walked so much of the city. We always try and find the local markets whenever we visit a new city and one of the best markets in Montreal is Marché Jean Talon. Unsurprisingly I took a lot of photos of the fabulous fruit and vegetables and great displays but it is this trolley of neat bunches of leeks grown on Île d'Orléans (where we have just visited) that caught my eye.

More pics here on my photography FaceBook page - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.616202435099108.1073741895.186301661422523&type=1
What a great find! Love the repeating bundles of leeks and the colors of all the produce in the background.

And you are there just at the right time of year to enjoy the harvest. These leeks are lovely, they suggest yummy leek-and-potato soup to me.

@pflaume @andreajoy @tristansmum I don't know why I find this amusing?! Soup springs to mind as well (or maybe braised in cheese sauce Mmmm!)
