'Maid of the Mist'.

This boat has this name for a reason. The 'Maid of the Mist' sails out to just beneath the Niagara Falls so that passengers can see and feel the force of the falling water. I photographed this shortly after we had taken the same trip and I was still dripping!
Love this!! I went on the Maid of the Mist on my 50th birthday with my sister and friend and we all burst into tears as we went near the falls. It was a magical experience - such power!! A wonderful memory - thank you!! Fav!!

The Falls are so beautiful, though I have not been on Maid of the Mist.

Glad you got to do this, Emma. You've really captured the mistiness of the area below the falls and the turbulence of the water. Even though I grew up not far from Niagara Falls, I still find them overwhelmingly impressive, although I can't forget that Oscar Wilde referred to them as "the second great disappointment in the life of the North American bride`...
