So in Texas, we have a strange tradition known as the Homecoming Mum. Growing up here, I assumed it was something everyone in the US did, but then came to find it was unique to our state. Anyhow, for my red day, I chose to shoot a bit of one of my daughter's mums.

How interesting! I've learned something new today! I think only universities have homecoming here (Ontario, Canada), whereas I always see it in US media portrayed as a high school thing (or both? I'm not sure). I really don't know all of the elements of its celebration at universities here, but I've never heard of a homecoming mum before!
