20140505 "I use antlers in all of my decorating....."

My instant thought on entering this room in Reichsburg Castle (a 19th century re-build but nontheless very impressive), in the town of Cochem in the Moselle Valley, was a line from the song 'Gaston' from the Disney film "Beauty and the Beast".

That night we had dinner at the 14th century Castle Namedy in Andernach, also in the Moselle Valley, hosted by the charming resident, Princess Heide von Hohenzollem. It was a beautiful home and also featured rooms with antlers, weapons and all sorts of taxidermy. Fortunately NOT in the ballroom, where dinner was served.
