This is the boat of my friend Nicolas, a professional scallop fisherman like his father and his grandfather. Nicolas has got a dynamic entrepreneurial spirit, so he is trying something different in the summertime. He has arranged a tent and a few seats on his boat, and he is proposing to take tourists on a small sea tour, during which he volunteers to explain the details of his main winter job. Unfortunately, he does not get much demand, so I am not sure he will carry on with this business next year.
Good for him to have tried something new. Perhaps some of your photos of him in action in a brochure might help ;). Hope the business does pick up in the last part of summer.
I have fond memories of the coquilles St. Jacques that I had at the creperie when I visited you in Brittany many years, ago. Perhaps they were caught by your friend.
I think that would be quite a fun excursion for a tourist - especially if he times it to sunset to come home - and maybe supplied a biscuit or two with a glass of wine?....
