I've lived near other rivers, but the Mississippi fascinates me. Here the water is calm enough for reflections, but it is only because the barges on the right are creating a barrier. Beyond the tug, the fast-moving current is visible.

It really does look like a beautiful river. Love the color of it here although I've heard the phrase the muddy Mississippi so I guess there's times it doesn't look so blue!
