Halloween is coming...

This is my Local Wonders challenge shot for the day: abandoned wonders. Only it isn't exactly abandoned. As I was walking from my car, a homeless man emerged from between the tombs, pushing his bicycle and carrying several plastic bags. I startled him more than he did me!

This is Sweet Olive Cemetery, an African American cemetery which dates from about 1850. There are burials on top of burials and many unmarked graves. A great place for the Halloween season!

I've fallen behind again due to a minor back injury, but I'll catch up on my comments and posting this week. As always, thanks for your support.

I'll bet there are hundreds of stories from this old cemetery. Interesting composition. It looks as if you ere on the gorund withyout camera!

@grammyn Thanks for your concern, Katy. I'm not having surgery--I just pulled a muscle but it's been slow healing. I'm getting old....

@eudora Pulled muscles I get! Rest is the best remedy for that. How old is your granddaughter? i have forgotten. Is she old enough to help out?
