Sunset on the River

Mississippi River bridge viewed from the top floor of the Shaw Center.

When I list the things I miss in Louisiana, the river has to be one of them. It fascinated me, with its ever-changing water levels and vistas. This morning I took photos of the Indian River in Florida. It's so different--much less industrial, great for fishing, a friendlier place to hang out.

The Mississippi River as you have photographed it looked lovely even with all its industry. I think you will enjoy exploring the beauty of your new home too- sort of like the old song says, "Make new friends but keep the old; one is silver and the other gold."

Beautiful night picture! One day when I'm back in LA long enough to play around, I really want to get some of the bridge and river there (along with LSU!)
