World Pentax Day by eudora

World Pentax Day

World Pentax Day is actually three days, September 6-9, when Pentaxians everywhere "paint a picture of the world using Pentax cameras." My granddaughter asked if there were prizes and I had to admit I didn't know, that it was just something fun to do, sort of like 365.

So today I dragged out my old Pentax K30 with the broken aperture control, put on an even older lens, one with an aperture ring, and visited McKee Botanical Gardens. It was fun to compare old and new cameras--my new Sony mirrorless is much lighter, but the Pentax is easier to focus manually. But I still haven't figured out how to set the date, as it reads January 1, 2012--so much for posting to the World Pentax Day site!
Great capture of the sharp distinction between water and flower and the detail of the flying critter.
