Katrina Revisited

This image is a photo of a photo. It is not even about Hurricane Katrina. It is part of an exhibition of the works of Jeffery Becton that just opened at the Vero Beach Museum of Art: http://www.bates.edu/museum/traveling/photographs-by-jeffery-becton/. Amazing images and processing, but my husband and I just could not look at them long. Sometimes art is too real. . . .

To be clear, we were not directly impacted by Katrina. We had only minor damage to our home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. But the devastation in New Orleans and Mississippi is something we will never forget.
very interesting processing

An intriguing image. How much did you process it or is it all Becton's work?

Never mind I went to the link after commenting. I see it is his work. I can't imagine what it must be like to see it for some one who lived it.

@grammyn Thanks for your comments and understanding! His images are sort of like double exposures, and ordinarily I would have loved them, but these just reminded me of flooded homes.

It looks very realistic. I understand how close to home it felt- it's always sad for me to see any home like that. I think of the families who'd lived there when it was in good shape and taken care of and how their hearts would break to see it in such sad shape.
