@grammyn @olivetreeann Thanks for your comments. I was just talking to a friend who had heard (nothing confirmed) that part of the road along the Indian River had collapsed. Fort Pierce is having heavy rain and high winds even though it is on the east coast of Florida.
Katy, I don't know exactly where you live, but do you think the remnants of Irma will effect you?

@eudora We are expecting it to come through later this evening and tomorrow. No real idea how bad it will be though. There are so many variables.

@eudora When it was announced that Irma would cover the entire state I had a hard time imagining a storm that large. Then I saw satellite pictures and it was still hard to conceive! Even with it right in front of my eyes- so I'm not surprised that even the east coast is getting severe damage.
