Unknown

Every year I take a shot of one of the National Cemeteries decorated for the holidays. Sorry for the redundancy. These are the graves of unidentified Union soldiers who died in or near Baton Rouge during the Civil War. They were known to someone, parents or wives or children whose loved ones never came home.
It is good that someone remembers and pays tribute. The words reflect the bittersweet reality.
