Evening primrose, Mexican primrose, buttercup, pink lady--all names for what seems to me the same flower. This one was in New Mexico, but they also grow in Louisiana.
@grammyn Thanks (as always) for your comments. I did not use SC on this. New Mexico is the opposite of Louisiana, and I expect Alabama. Plants grow like crazy here, but in NM heir plants are set in a bed of rocks, so this is the natural background.
