The celebration that wasn't

It seemed like it was the New Orleans Saints' year to go to the Super Bowl, so on this playoff Sunday I planned a celebratory dinner of Gulf redfish topped with my version of the Guitreau topping (shrimp, onions and mushrooms.) My son in New Mexico cooked redfish court bouillon. And then the Saints lost. The food was still good.
That looks tasty!

I was hoping for an “Old Man Bowl” myself between Tom Brady and Drew Brees.. I’m sorry the Saints lost - it was definitely a shock! Glad dinner as good though. When I get all caught up in stupid sports stuff, I keep trying to tell myself it’s the football food that really matters!! ;)

@hbdaly Thanks. I think you are right about the food! My niece is a huge Patriots fan and she was also really hoping for an "Old Man Bowl." She says she has no hair left after the Patriots game!

I have to agree that the food is most important!

I wish I could tell you I even knew what you were talking about as far as football is concerned… But I don’t. However the food shot is amazing

Oh, too bad about the loss, but the dinner looks terrific (great food shot).

We haven't been watching football but have heard dribs and drabs about games. So, condolences on the Saints but boy, win or lose, the food sounded (and looks) delicious!

Shame that the Saints aren't in it, food does look rather tasty, though.
