Our grandchildren from New Mexico visited us for two weeks. They each attended a week-long camp at LSU, but during different weeks so we had time alone with each child--really nice!
Marshall went to a veterinary science camp and one day visited, of course, the live Mike the Tiger in his elegant habitat. Lauren attended a computer science camp where many of the kids thought she was from (old) Mexico but complimented her on how well she speaks English. Sigh.
My kids went to nature camp every summer when we visited my parents — it’s one of their favorite memories. They would also go during different weeks, but they would always be there with one or more of their cousins.
