Baton Rouge National Cemetery 2020

It's a little thing in the midst of so many pandemic changes: Usually VA National Cemeteries are decorated for the holidays with individual wreaths placed on the graves. Volunteers raise funds for the wreaths and groups like Boy Scout troops place them. The austerity this year seems appropriate as so many people struggle with basic expenses like rent and food.

A photo from 2017 is in my other album: https://365project.org/eudora/three/2020-12-20

I thought I heard that they were still doing it at Arlington. But not sure about the ones around here. Several VA cemeteries in the Atlanta area.

Hopefully traditions like this are resumed next year. Great pic to depict our current times.

I wonder if Wreaths Across America was able to do their decorating of the graves? It would be a sad thing if they weren't. That's certainly reflected in your shot.
