Possum update

Don't they have funny feet? I'd never noticed opossum feet before.
An update on my attempted rescue efforts: The sickly opossum has not been back, so we were unable to trap him. I did learn that the LSU vet school accepts injured wild animals and has a rehabilitation program.

Probably water was the only thing he needed. I hope he is ok and enjoying his life. Strange feet.

Yes, very strange feet- I don't I noticed that when we caught one 3 years ago- but ours wasn't injured so we just opened up the trap and waited for him to leave. It took him 3 1/2 hours! Anyway- he may be back. Sometimes their route changes a little and then it adjusts back. good catch!

poor baby. Just adorable! They have grown on me over the years. I wonder if it's mother got killed. Looks old enough to survive though. Those feet explain how they're able to climb trees so well.
