Sugar cane hoppers. Harvest is months away.
Lovely repetition and tones.

Lovely shot and rural scene. I hope the harvest is good.

My grandfather used to grow sugarcane in Washington state! I don’t remember Seeing hoppers like this, but then I was quite young at the time. Period. I love your composition for this shot.

What a huge crop, and isn’t Louisiana the largest producer of cane sugar in the U.S.?

@haskar @sangwann @bkbinthecity @carolmw Thanks for your comments.
@grammyn I didn't know sugar cane was grown in Washington state!
@congaree It IS a huge crop and, having grown up in New Jersey, I am fascinated by the harvest because I'd never seen anything like it before moving to Louisiana.

@eudora I don’t know if they still do or not, but they did when I was growing up

I like the repetition of them and their color against the crop. Reminds me just a bit of all the corn grown in our region.
