Tiger Stadium. ESPN ranks it the #1 football stadium in the U.S. for its game day atmosphere. My cousin David, a University of Georgia grad, would disagree; he says LSU fans are the nastiest he's ever seen.

When I moved to Louisiana from Virginia in 1976, I was amazed at how important football is in the Deep South. And then grandson Brandon turned out to be a football player (though not at LSU) and we got to compare stadiums for ourselves.

@dkellogg It should develop into a great rivalry. One of my granddaughters got her BA from LSU and her MA from University of Texas Austin, so she's already conflicted about the game.

I have never really been into football- college or otherwise- but many friends were. I do like this shot though- it brings out the history of the building through the energetic lighting.
