Standing guard

This poor kildeer built her first nest on the lawn of my husband's residential facility. That nest disappeared, probably the victim of a lawn mower. This nest is near the front entrance and Mrs. Bird is in a constant state of alarm as people come and go. I didn't help by taking her picture.
