This waterfall was so intriguing to me, I just had to get closer! My husband found a parking spot and we proceeded to climb up to get near it! We had our two kids with us too. I thought, no problem, I'll just hike up with my 3 inch crocs (flip flops) and I should be fine! Well, as we got closer, the trail ended and we headed into thick vegetation!! We scrambled over logs, through tree branches, and hoped we didn't come across any poison ivy! The climb was worth it! We had a beautiful scene ahead and were sprayed by the waterfall. Coming down was a different story! I could hardly navigate the steep terrain in my crazy crocs. I finally took them off and went barefoot! Can't believe what I'll do to get a photo!! We sure enjoyed the day!
Great shot. I understand about getting the shot. I am about to pack hiking boots in my trunk for such times and also a trash bag for when they get muddy. I seem to find mud lots of time also. Glad you made it safely down one way or another.
Job WELL done Wendy....well worth the hike (I know, easy for me to say)! Seems to be a photographer's motto...you just gotta do what you gotta do to get the shot!

@morrisphotos Thank you Terri! The hiking boots in the trunk is a great idea! I sure needed them! I like the idea of a trash bag too for the aftermath with muddy boots!
