This little guy just popped up as we spotted him going over Imogene Pass toward Ouray, Colorado. This was at about 12,000 ft and I think we were just as surprised to see him as he was us!

I love him! What fantastic timing to come along just then - and in such a perfect spot! The colors and dof are wonderful - and I know you couldn't have had much chance for too many shots of him. Sure did well with this!
@milaniet Thank you so much Milanie for your great comments!! I sure appreciate you knowing what a difficult shot this had to be! I had just enough time to change my aperture for the dof I wanted and took four shots with this being the only one of him looking at me. He then scurried back behind some rocks!
