Taken while we hiked around in Icy Straight Point, Alaska. Eagles are very prevalent in Alaska, but I could never get tired of seeing these incredible birds of prey. I used to volunteer at the Rocky Mountain Raptor Center in Fort Collins, Colorado during college and fell in love with this bird. I definitely have a great appreciation for this beautiful raptor and the work others do to protect and rehabilitate these animals to release back into the wild!
