I had the opportunity to make a quick trip to Portland at the first of the month. This was taken in the Silver Falls State Park. This area is amazing anytime of year, but especially in the fall. The path was blanketed with fallen leaves speckled in fall color. The air was rich with the smell of freshly fallen rain. And the layers of light through the trees revealed such rich color and depth. There are moments that just stop me in my tracks and this was one of those moments. I just had to pull out my camera and capture the stillness of the forest.
@jgpittenger Thank you Jane! I should have connected with you...that would have been awesome! I was there with another photographer friend and we had an amazing couple of days! What a beautiful area!
