It was socked in in Colorado Springs and I thought I would check the webcam for further up the mountains and see if Pikes Peak was visible at a higher elevation. Sure enough, the sun was shining and the Peak appeared above the clouds. I packed my gear and headed up Rampart Range Road toward Woodland Park, Colorado. Such an amazing scene with the layers of clouds enveloping the landscape below and my favorite mountain above! What an experience!
