"Beauty as an explosion of energy perfectly contained."
~Richard Holmes on Coleridge's concept of beauty
A vertical rendition of my photo shoot this past fall at the ever popular Maroon Bells. This location is one popular location during the fall season and I continue to fight the crowds just for a glimpse of this iconic Colorado scene. There is always a different atmosphere each time I shoot here and I love the thought of capturing the light after the crowds disperse and the lake calms in the morning light.
What's not to love in this photo? Fav. Awesome reflection and fall colors. The choice of vertical makes it a little different from most shots of Maroon Bells and enabled you to include the rocks in the lake. BTW, my brother lives in Snowmass so we've been to Maroon Bells, years ago, probably before it became so crowded.
@eudora Thank you so much for your wonderful comments! Sure one of my favorite places in Colorado, despite the crowds! That is so awesome you had a chance to experience this place without all the hoopla!!!
